We must quiet our turbulent minds to become sensitive enough to hear their voices.
I remember the first time the trees spoke to me.
It was April 2020, outside my studio in Topanga Canyon, CA.
It was unlike anything I had ever experienced.
A voice. So clear, so present.
“MAKE ART WITH ME…” it whispered.
At first I had no understanding of what was happening.
What was this voice?
Over the next several weeks, I received instructions on what I was tasked to create…
1. They told me exactly which materials to get and detailed instructions on how to create the sculptures.
2. They explained the purpose and intention behind the materials.
3. They requested 100% of the money generated from the sculptures to go toward preserving, conserving, and/or replanting forest.
Their voices are calling on us to protect them…to love them.
We must listen to the wisdom of the trees.
“Speaking with Trees” is an immersive audiovisual experience with the intention of reconnecting humanity with the lungs of the Earth - Trees.
The exhibition (coming Feb 2022) is composed of a seven song (44 min) score (produced by David Block) to accompany the 12 sculptures (wood, stone, steel, 14K solid Gold wire) which are designed to be experienced together in silence.
100% of all “Speaking with Trees” proceeds will go toward conservation through the One Heart Movement…
